Member Mental Health resources
We have developed a new section on our website at medaviebc.ca/mentalhealth that provides an all-in-one overview of the mental health resources we have available to members. This section makes it easy for members to assess what support is most appropriate for them, and quickly link through to start using them. Reflecting the challenges of accessing services during the pandemic, all services can be accessed online.
Please let your plan members know about this section and these services by sharing our Member Mental Health communication template with them. The template can be downloaded from our COVID-19 information centre at medaviebc.ca/info-centre-covid-19.
BEACON Stronger Minds sponsorship
To help extend mental health supports to as many Canadians as possible during this challenging time, we are proud to invest in Stronger Minds, a free digital program to help individuals manage their mental health. Developed by our mental health partner BEACON, Stronger Minds provides expert mental health guidance for the emotional wellbeing of anyone needing support.
The program leverages BEACON’s team of clinical psychologists and access to videos, quick reads and resilience-building activities, and links to services that anyone that may be experiencing COVID-19-related anxiety, stress or depression can access.
In addition to expert guidance from the BEACON team of clinical psychologists, Stronger Minds presents personal perspectives from beloved Canadian Olympic rower Silken Laumann, TSN sports commentator Michael Landsberg, as well as physical well-being guidance from GoodLife Fitness.
Stronger Minds can be accessed by Medavie Blue Cross members atmedaviebc.ca/mentalhealth.
